Worth knowing up front: Insurance Plan Center is an independent comparison service, not an insurance company. Anything we pass along is prepared by a carrier authorised to operate where the risk sits, and our help costs you nothing.

Nobody enjoys shopping for insurance. So we keep it simple: you tell us what has changed, or what has been quietly worrying you, and an advisor rings you back inside the window you pick. That person has already read your details, so the call starts where you are rather than from the beginning.
You can hang up and think it over. Nothing on this site expires while you decide, and nobody will chase you for an answer.
We are paid by insurance companies when a policy is placed, never by you. If you walk away, we are no worse off, which is part of why nobody here will push.
By calling or sending the form below, you agree that Insurance Plan Center and the insurance companies it introduces you to may contact you by phone, email, or text about quotes and coverage. Hearing back follows your request rather than preceding it, standard message rates may apply, and one message is all it takes to stop.
Step 1 of 2: What is this about?
After the call
This is the part most comparison sites leave out, and it is usually the part that matters.
Before the line goes quiet, we send you a short summary of what you told us. If a quote is going astray three days later, you can point at it instead of digging through your own memory.
Whoever rings back has read that summary first. You will not be asked to explain your situation from the start, and you will not be parked in a queue while someone else finds your paperwork.
Quotations do not expire the moment we hang up, and no deadline is invented to hurry you. Want to sleep on it for a week and then talk? Ring the same number and ask for the note on your file.
What we can help with
These are the lines we are set up to compare. Need something outside the list? Say so and we will point you at a source that handles it rather than improvise.
Auto insurance
Cars, trucks, and everything you drive on a weekday.
Home insurance
The building, the things inside it, and the ground it sits on.
Renters insurance
Your belongings and your liability, even in a building you do not own.
Landlord and property insurance
Rental buildings, small commercial sites, and the income they produce.
Business insurance
Liability, equipment, and interruption cover for the work you do.
Travel insurance
Trips that run late, get cancelled, or go wrong far from home.
Pet insurance
Vet bills after an accident or an illness your animal did not plan for.
Umbrella liability
Extra room on top of a policy that runs out before a big claim ends.
How a request travels
Step one
A short form, or a phone call if you would rather talk. Either way the only things we ask for are the details a company genuinely needs in order to quote you.
Step two
Using the details from your summary, an advisor asks the companies that are licensed to write where you live. What comes back is priced the way it would be if you had rung them yourself.
Step three
We lay the options out plainly, including what each one quietly leaves out. If the sensible answer is to wait, we will say that too and help you set a date to look again.
Plainly put
We are not an insurance company. If something is placed, you deal with the company named on the paperwork, and that relationship lasts as long as the policy does.
Some questions need a call inside a company before anyone can answer honestly. We would rather tell you that and come back than invent a confident answer.
Every figure we pass on comes with the company that produced it, so you can hold them to it and you can check them for yourself.
Who writes the policy
Coverage comes from insurance companies. Most fall into one of four broad kinds: mutual companies owned by their policyholders, stock insurers owned by shareholders, groups that write through a network of independent agents, and direct writers that sell only through their own channels. Which of them can quote you depends on where the property, vehicle, or business sits and on your own history, not on us.
What we do is ask whoever is licensed to serve your state, put the answers next to each other, and show you the company behind every line. What we do not do is publish a list of friendly insurers and imply we have a relationship with each one. If a company has never quoted a request from us, it does not appear here.
A note for the curious: financial strength ratings and complaint records for any US insurer can be looked up on the regulator's own website, usually in under a minute. Our carrier and records page explains how, and our licensing page covers the questions to ask about us.
There is no rush on our side. Ring when it suits you, or fill in the form and let the phone do the work at a time you picked.

The short version: Insurance Plan Center compares quotes on your behalf and is paid by the insurance company if a policy is placed. We do not write policies, we do not handle your money, and nothing on this site is an offer of cover. Full detail sits in our advertising and referral disclosure.
Would you rather just talk it through?
Some people find it easier to describe their situation out loud than to type it into a box. Our line is open Mon-Fri, 8:00am-6:00pm Eastern, and there is nothing on the other end of it that you have to buy.
